Jon Schmidt!

Our stake had a fireside for young single adults last night featuring Jon Schmidt. I know that I'm not a young single adult but I went anyways! Reason being, Jon Schmidt is like my idol! (No I don't worship him, I'm just saying! :) McKenzie and I got there 40 minutes early so that we could sit on the FrOnT row in front of the piano! He played four songs - including two of my all time favorites "All of Me" and "Waterfall." He is the most amazing pianist in the world in my opinion!! After the fireside was over, McKenzie and I got to meet him, shake his hand, and talk to him!! It was AmAzInG! (The only sad part was that I wanted him to play "Love Story Meets Viva La Vida" because that is my FaVoRiTe song of his, but since we were in the chapel he couldn't. It's ok though, I can listen to it over and over online!) We closed out the night by eating refreshments! Tons of yummy cookies and ice cream! It was an amazing night. I'll never forget it! (Oh and all of the songs forementioned are on my playlist for this blog if you wanted to listen!)

The Best of 2009!!

So, like I said on my previous post, I came up with an idea for a blog post. I am going to remember and talk about all of my memories from 2009! The worst, the best, and so on!!

1!! Obviously, one of my most memorable experiences from 2009 was The Miss Teen Syracuse Pageant on June 13th!! I'm never going to forget the thrill it was! I have loved EVERY part of it and I'm looking forward to what 2010 will hold in this position. This has brought me closer to a lot of people, especially my hostess Heidi Brophy and her family. They are so amazing and I'm grateful I had this opportunity to get to know them better! Some pics! :
This was from one of my favorite photoshoots at Union Station!

Miss Teen Syracuse and Little Miss Syracuse! I ♥ this picture!

Beautiful gorgeous Lyndsey Brophy! She is absolutely amazing and I'm so lucky that she agreed to be Little Miss Syracuse! She has been so much fun!

2!! Next, I had the amazing opportunity of being in the Miss Teen Utah pageant. No, I didn't place in this one, but I loved it anyways! There were 3 times the competition and it caused a lot of stress but I am so glad I did it! Here are a couple pictures from the pageant.

Getting ready to go onstage for the production number and sportswear! We all wore black spandex outfits!

This was my dress that I wore for formal wear and onstage question!

This is definitely one of my favorite dresses of all time! I wore it to play the piano for my talent! It is absolutely gorgeous!

Close up! Ha ha, I was wearing SO much makeup!!

3!! Ok, enough about pageants! Sorry, but they were pretty significant events for me in 2009! Anyways, next, this event is kind of tradgic. Erin, my jumelle and very very best friend, moved to Roseville California. It was really hard to see her go and I miss her more than I've missed anyone in my entire life. We did a photoshoot together before she left and this is one of the pictures.
All credit for this photo goes to Alicia Kinne - an amazing photographer. Check her out next time you need pictures!
4!! In 2009, I completed 8th grade with straight 4.0's, and I began 9th grade! That's officially high school! I'm a freshman! Life is good! :)
5!! I turned 14!! I had a fun birthday party at Cherry Hill and I'm glad that everyone could go! It was a lot of fun!!
6!! Made it into my first Honors class, Honors English. It's pretty stressful but I'm glad I'm doing it. It'll be worth it!
7!! I was able to go to La Caille early this year. I have my scrapbook to remind me of the experience forever and ever and ever! It was amazing. The grounds were beautiful!! I am so glad I could go!!
8!! I got my braces off! Absolutely one of the best days of my life - June 4th!!!!! My teeth are now straight and beautiful - except I wish they were whiter!! I'm working on that though, I have some painful bleach stuff I use sometimes.
9!! Met and began to talk to Tyler, BriAnna, Mandi, Baylee, and Brady. Who all of which have become good friends of mine! I'm glad I could talk to someone especially when Erin left. Thanks everybody! :)
10!! I did get hypothermia at Girl's Camp. That was totally horrible. Just sitting around listening to everyone bear their testimonies at testimony meeting when I had to be rushed to the ER by my leaders for hypothermia and an anxiety attack. Bleh. Not a good memory, I really don't like doctors....not to mention all their needles.....
Well, there is 10 of the memories that stand out most in my mind about 2009. Now, I'm just going to write what some of my favorites were from 2009!
Favorite Color: Pink, of course always and forever.
Favorite Song: Replay - IYAZ, Anything by Taylor Swift, Party in the USA and The Climb - Miley Cyrus
Favorite School Subject: Easy!! French all the way!
Favorite Hobby: I became really into photography. I love it. Capturing a moment in time.....it's just amazing to me.....
Favorite Food: Cheesecake or Oreo Shakes!! Yum!
So this post has taken me an hour and a half to write. I think I better be done now, seeing as it is 10:49 PM!! Thanks for being a part of my 2009! I hope your year was amazing too!!

Hmmm.....I need to post something....

I haven't posted in forever!! Crazyness! My life is just bleh. Nothing exciting to write about! On New Years Eve, all I did was go to McKenzie's house and struggle through a game of Apples to Apples with her family! :)

Oh my Dad bought my mom a cool nail thing that makes your nails shiny!!

Life is dRaMaTiC!!!! It's stupid, but there are so many problems between friends and such.

Um, I'm going ice skating tomorrow. I'm pretty worried seeing as I don't even know how to roller blade!!! I'm just going to fall over and over and over!! Eh, we'll see how that goes!!

Well anyways, I need to go do my math homework now before my big test tomorrow. I wish everybody an amazing 2010. It has already brought about some significant firsts for me! I am excited and hope this year will bring amazing experiences!! Thanks to everyone who helped me make 2009 my most memorable year so far!! I have had such amazing opportunities!!

That just made me come up with another idea for my next blog post!! Fun! :)

Bye bloggers!! ♥

Christmas Time 2009

Wow. I can hardly believe that this Christmas season is already over. I swear, the older I get, the more time passes by quickly! But I do have some really great memories from this month. Highlights:
1. As a youth group, we went caroling in a care center for Senior citizens.
2. We couldn't put up our tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving like normal because we got new carpet. We had a pretty exciting time moving all the furniture and having carpet torn out and put in. It doesn't sound very fun but it was! The only downside was not being able to put our tree up until about two weeks before Christmas. That totally shortened my Christmas season.
3. For our neighbor gifts this year, my mom decided that cupcakes would be fast, easy, and fun. Boy was she wrong! We ended up having to make and decorate a grand total of 154 cupcakes! This project took exactly 10 1/2 hours. Believe me, we counted. The fun part was decorating them with snowflake, gingerbread men, holly leave, and candy cane sprinkles, and other fun stick-outs with all different pictures. Then we went and delivered them all and sang "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" to all the receipients.
4. Christmas eve this year was also a blast. Like always, we went to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast. I absolutely love Mimi's Cafe. They make the best hot chocolate (and food!) in the world! Then we went home and waited until the time came to drive up to Orem for our traditional Christmas Eve at my Grandparents' house. All of my family brings soup or chili and we just have a soup bar type thing. Then we perform the nativity scene. This year, I volunteered to be Joseph because no one else would! Lastly, we have a talent show. I was able to play my own arrangement of Silent Night. That was really a cool thing for me. I really enjoyed writing it. Lastly, we ate banana cream pie before taking the long and anxious feeling ride home. Upon getting home, we opened our one Christmas Eve present of tradition - pajamas! This year I got an adorable and comfortable set of Hello Kitty pajamas! I love Hello Kitty! Then it was off to bed for a horrible night's sleep.
5. Finally, the seemingly endless night was over and we all rushed downstairs to open presents! I had an amazing amazing amazing Christmas this year! Some of the highlights of my presents include: a Brand New HP laptop!! It is amazing! I happen to be typing on it right now! I absolutely love it! Along with it I got a wireless router so I can access the internet wirelessly anywhere in the house, and a wireless printer for my room. I also got some clothes, candy, coloring stuff, lotion, jewlery, games, notepads, and etc. As a family, we got a trip to Florida! Woo woo! We also got a new plasma screen TV and a new entertainment system, we got 3 new phones, and we got an Xbox 360. So overall, I am entirely thrilled! It is amazing!'
6. I forgot this earlier, but we also went to various performances this past month. We went to Isaac's Christmas piano recital, The Savior of the World, The Forgotten Carols, and A Christmas Carol. (The play, not the movie!)

I so much love the Christmas season! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!

Life's Latest

So, it has been a long time since I have posted anything. Really, nothing significant has happened. Oh well, I will find something to post about. So lately my life has been full of new people. I now am friends with BriAnna, Tyler, Brady, and Mandi. It is pretty exciting and I am glad to have fun people to talk to now! I have been keeping extremely busy on the yearbook staff as the editor. We barely made our last deadline, but somehow we did!! I am still writing letters to all of my friends and loving it! There is nothing more exciting then opening my mailbox to find something for me from a friend! It makes me very happy! I am pretty stressed out about all of the projects I have going on right now though in all of my various classes. I have one big geography project, one big math project, and FIVE giant english projects! Yes, I know! Crazy right? That's what I get for having Killingbeck for Honors English. Sigh. Oh well, I would rather be busy then bored! Um, I don't think I have any other new information. Oh, yes I do. We got new carpet last week. It was pretty exciting. Strange, but exciting. Yep, that is totally it. Ok, au revoir bloggers!
