Festival of Colors!

I have been wanting to go to the Festival of Colors forever. I was sad when I found it that it was exactly the same day as my prom this year! Well, I found out the next week that they were doing two this year! They've always done one in Spanish Fork, but they were now going to do one in Salt Lake! Correlating soccer, work, and time schedules was hard, but Brady and I managed to make it down there.

I hate driving in traffic, and mostly parking, in Salt Lake. So stressful. I did it though and we made it there and back alive! (:

I didn't really know what to expect, but upon arriving, people immediately started throwing colors at me. I was colored from head to toe within minutes! The colors are all perfumed and when they are all together, they have a really cool smell.

There was crazy Hindu music and chanting, very social people who hugged just about everyone, and many guys running around without shirts on. It was very like, hippie, or something...

The best part was the throwings! All of the thousands of people there would collect into a group and then an announcer would count down, and everyone would take a handfull of color and throw it into the air at the same time. It was absolutely beautiful, especially being in the middle of that!

Getting it in my mouth was super nasty. And some people threw it so hard at my face and eyes that I thought I was going to end up blind. But it was worth it. Best experience ever!

Went to work after, just like that. That was pretty much horrible.

Also? 4 washes later, and there is still orange and green in my hair.

Goodness.



Spring Break.

Took a family trip over Spring Break this year!

The best part was Vegas, hands down. I'm pretty sure I could live there!

I love the big city, the amazing buildings, incredible shopping, so much to see.

I was in heaven.

Then we went down to Phoenix.

We had pretty good weather for the most part!

I loved lounging by the pool. The best.

Our hotel was lovely and we found ways to entertain ourselves while we were there.

Also spent a lot of time driving. Definitely no fun.

What really upsets me is my camera died only the second day we were there! I was so excited to have to chance to get some good pictures! But I only had 10 minutes to pack and forgot the charger in the rush. Wish I'd been able to take more, but here are some of the ones I got:

Prom 2012!

I can't even tell you how perfect and amazing prom was. It was just undescribably amazing. I had the best day of my whole life! I've just never been that happy(: I was the luckiest girl at the dance. (: Had the best date ever(: So happy I got to go with Brayden(:

For our day date, we first went to the park(: Lacrosse, basketball, and even a boomerang, all of which I'm horrible at, but Brayden puts up with me anyways(:
Then we went to Get Air. It's a trampoline park and it is huge and super cool. They had tons of trampolines and even foam pits to jump into! It was a blast jumping around, and doing tricks. (:

My mom is in California, so Whitnie had to take our picture. That's why it's super blurry, but this is us before our day date (:

After that, we went home to get ready. Lisa came over to be my mother for the day so I could have help with my dress and pictures!

So then we headed off to Landon's house, because we just needed to meet there for dinner, or so I thought. We were almost there when we passed a limo. We commented on how cool it was and then Brayden drove right past it. I thought nothing of it. Then he turned the car around and informed me that the limo was for us! A stretch hummer limo. My jaw dropped to the floor. I was in SHOCK.

It was absolutely gorgeous! Neon ceiling lights, floor lights, little drink bars, amazing sound system, and it was huge. My boy spoiled me. A lot. I still can't believe it. We felt way too cool riding in it! (: Our driver even drove off the road! There was a lot of traffic on the freeway on the way home from Salt Lake, so he just drove down the down of the road and down to a different street. It was totally illegal and way awesome(: Coolest experience ever. (: People were even taking pictures of it as we drove by! It was like we were celebrities!

We went to Corbins for dinner. It was a beautiful resturant. We sat next to this gorgeous glass waterfall, and it was lovely. (: Brayden and I got the same chicken pasta dish, and it was super yummy. (: Way nice resturant, goodness sakes. (: He's too sweet.

After that we went to Union Station in Ogden for pictures (Which I'm dying to see(: ), then went and partied it up at the dance at the Gateway in Union Station. It was amazing and perfect and wonderful... Ah. We love dancing. (:

Then we went to Landon's house after for pizza and ice cream. Brayden "drank my water to me" and ended up basically pouring it all over me(: Ha ha ha it was hilarious. (:

Lastly, when he dropped me off, we had our own last dance to our favorite song(: It couldn't have been more perfect(:

I'm such a lucky girl. I'm never going to forget this day. Ever.

The Hunger Games.

I have been waiting for this movie to come out for like, forever. I absolutely loved this book and I was just dying to see how they would change it. Went on a date with Brayden to the midnight premiere, along with Kenzie and Colton. It was amazing and just way too much fun. (:

Kenzie and I waited for 8 hours, sometimes taking shifts. We had sparkling black cherry water, and starbursts for snacks. At 7, I went to Brayden's band concert and then brought him to the movie with me afterwards. We waited and waited and waited. For what felt like forever.

Brayden tried to read the book before midnight. He only got to page 30. (:
Colton played on my iPad and was very entertained. Good thing I brought that.
The movie finally started and it was perfect. (: So incredible. It freaked me out a few times....I'm surprised I didn't break Brayden's hand, poor boy! But it was amazing. We had a super fun time. Love these people, loved this movie.
