I am seriously in love with school dances. I never want to miss one! They give us the best memories in the world, plus, who doesn't want to wear a beautiful dress?!
This dance was one of the best so far.
Brayden answered me on Friday night with a poem, a shovel thing, and a note that said, "I didn't have to dig deep to know I wanted to go to Preference with you!" It was really cute.
Our day date took a lot of work and planning, but it turned out to be my favorite day date we've ever done. We did a "Year-Long Date." Basically meaning that we had an activity planned for every month of the year. (:
We took over 800 pictures, and narrowing it down for the blog was tricky, so bear with me because there's still a lot.
For January, we celebrated New Year's Eve! We had party hats, party horns, and confetti to throw after the countdown! There was confetti everywhere. I even got a mouthful of it!
For February, we decorated heart shaped sugar cookies and made each other valentines! These people are hilarious, I got the best Valentines ever.
March was kind of a stretch... We couldn't think of anything for St. Patrick's Day, so we decided that since Prom is in March, we'd "dress up" and play Just Dance. This was hilarious, especially watching the boys!
For April we dyed Easter Eggs and had an Easter Egg hunt! Brady couldn't even find one... Haha.
We celebrated Cinco de Mayo in May by breaking a Pinata! I almost got crushed by a bat during Brady's turn, and Austin hit Brayden right in the face with the pinata. Good times. Our pinata was way cool looking though, we loved it.
Since school gets out in June, we signed "yearbooks." Which works out because we are going to take all the things that we made and pictures we took on this date and make it into a yearbook, since it was the whole year get it?(: And these signature can go right in there(: Again, hilarious messages.
For July, we played beach volleyball... in the snow and ice. Quickly turned into soccer for the boys, and ended fast since it was freezing.
For August we had a summer barbecue! Hotdogs, chips and lemonade(: Yum!
September is the "back-to-school" month. School involves a lot of reading and writing, so we played a writing game, "He Said, She Said." Got pretty funny, pretty fast. We have the most hilarious friends. Austin's last story was the best... Oh man!
October was so funny. We dressed up and went trick-or-treating! Everyone's costumes were awesome. I was a pirate, Brayden was a clown, Kena was a witch, Eduardo was a pirate, Baylee was an angel witch, Colton was a sexy cat lady, Brady was a jailbird devil, and Austin was a modgepodge of everything... People must of thought we were crazy going trick-or-treating in January but it was the best part probably. One of my neighbors even went all out! She decorated her house, dressed up, bought us new candy, and had the boys bob for apples! It was awesome!
For November we wanted to eat for Thanksgiving, but we'd just had the August barbecue, so instead we drew Turkeys from our hand outlines!
And for December, we had to celebrate Christmas of course! We had a white elephant gift exchange and then decorated a Christmas tree in my front yard. (:
I loveeeee my glow slate!
Basically the best day date ever. We never stopped laughing. Totally entertained.
Getting ready for the dance turned into an adventure. I got to my house and realized I'd left all of my make-up and hair stuff at Kena's mom's house from our sleepover the night before! I got dressed, did my hair as best I could without a brush or moose, and then rushed to go get my make-up. When I got there, Kena's mom's house was locked and no one was home. Awesome. I wanted to call Kena but her phone's broken so I had no way to get ahold of her. I knew she was getting ready at her Dad's house, so I quickly drove over there. Her Dad let me in and I ran to find her, but Gen told me she had just left a couple minutes ago to her mom's house. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So back I went to her Mom's! Luckily, she was there, and I did my make-up and rushed to get Brayden, only 20 minutes late.
The boutenniere went pretty well this time! And then we were off for dinner! We did a progressive dinner based around Olive Garden and the whole thing was incredibly delicious. We started out at my house for an appetizer of salad, breadsticks, and Zupa Toscana soup. Then we went to Kena's for chicken, angel hair alfredo and broccoli. Finally we ended at Baylee's for dessert, a brownie, oreo, chocolate trifle. Oh my it was so much good food.
We had a ton of fun at the dance as usual, dancing the night away!
Then after we went for ice cream at Sub Zero since Austin's never even been there! It was fabulous.
Then we went to hang out at Baylee's where Austin even treated us to a rap that he had written with Eduardo, it was the best. I have it on video, which I'll treasure forever. Haha.
Then we dropped the boys off and me and Kena headed back to my house where we were so exhauted, we feel asleep so quick.
Perfect day. I love making these amazing memories. I'm so lucky to have such an incredible group of friends. <3 be="" d="" have="" i="" idea="" no="" p="" them.="" where="" without="">3>
