A Trip to the Mall!

Katie and I got to hang out on Saturday! I've missed seeing her so much! She's such an amazing friend! Well, a simple trip to the mall turned into a little adventure! After shopping for a few hours we called Katie's mom to come get us. Turns out she'd just sat down for dinner on a date. I called my parents to find out they'd just left for a party. So we just decided to wait for Katie's mom.

We passed the time by getting smoothies and Taco Time in the food court, then going to the Apple store and playing on the iPads and iPods! After awhile we decided to try her mom again. She got her phone out and it was totally dead. And my phone was already dead. By this time, the mall was about to close! So we asked around the stores for a phone and no one had one we could use. So we walked over to the movie theater nearby in the freezing night air. When we got there, no one had a phone we could use there either. So off we went again, and we ended up walking over to Iggy's. The hostess didn't have a phone we could use either! Luckily for us, the manager overheard and let us use his cell phone. Katie's mom came and got us and the night ended just fine.

It was pretty fun though. We always have fun together! And the best part is, she might be coming to Syracuse High next year! She submitted her variance and we'll find out if it was accepted or not on Tuesday! I'm so excited!

I'm Going There Someday...

We made these blocks in Young Women's for our Mia Maid class activity. We got to pick our favorite temple to put on it! I just love the way they turned out! Makes a really cute addition to my room!

Update!

It's been forever since I've blogged. Wow, life's been a little crazy lately! It's cramming time for driving hours since I have to have my 10 hours done by March 13th. It's kind of stressing me out since I only have like three done. But I know I'll get it. This week I took a practice ACT test called the PLAN test. It was four hours long. Seriously, longest test of my life! To my surprise, it was pretty easy! I had some issues with science but the rest was much easier than I was expecting. Especially math! It was mostly just geometry and algebra. Hardly any Algebra 2 so I was totally fine.

Instrument wise, I'm a little stressed about learning and memorizing a 10 page song for a piano recital in almost 3 months. That's a small time frame for something like that. But it's only a late-intermediate level piece, so I should be ok. And guitar..... oh guitar.... It's been fun but crazy. Lots of deadlines to make! But I'm loving it. (:

Hmmm that's pretty much it. Just trying to make it through this year!! I'll try to do better with blogging though!

Love.

Je t'aime.
Ich liebe dich.
Ég elska þig.
Ek is lief vir jou.
我爱你
Jag älskar dig.
Ti amo.
Is breá liom tú.
I love you.

So many ways to say such a simple phrase.

I love Valentine's Day. What is a better holiday than one meant simply to focus on love?

Love can be directed towards anyone or anything.

Friends

Family

Music

Pets

Hobbies

You name it.

On this holiday, let's celebrate love.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here's a little tour:

Personal Progress

I've officially completed the personal progress program! It was a huge goal for me and I'm so happy that I've successfully fulfilled it. To be completely honest, I don't know what motivated me to do it, but once I decided to, I couldn't get enough. I'm very excited to recieve my medallion.

Wreck This Journal

Busy Bee Lauren has done a few posts about her experience with a book called Wreck This Journal. It sounded basically amazing so I ordered it off of Amazon. I don't think it could have come at a better time! It's an incredible stress reliever, I'll just say that much. Basically the whole point is to destroy the journal. There are all sorts of instructions telling you ridiculous/pointless things to do. I've only done a couple pages so far but it was the most relaxed I've been in a while. I'm a perfectionist, so it's kind of hard to just be careless with this book, I like to keep books looking nice, but it'll be a great thing for me to have. (:

The only things I've done are to fake number every page, fill out the: This Book Belongs To page, and write one word over and over again.
It's hard to tell I know, but I chose to write the word "Smile." It seemed like the perfect word to write a million times in a row today. (:

If you don't already have one, I suggest you get one. They're amazing.

Stress.

School is officially outdoing me! I feel like I'm always forgetting something. It's like I'm drowning in things to do!! Some of the things on my mind:

♥ I have the normal schoolwork to do that everybody does. Yet, somehow, I always walk into my room to find my floor piled with it! It's like it never ends.

♥ I am studying to take a practice ACT test, called the PLAN test in a couple of weeks.

♥ I have a piano recital and multiple guitar performances to be practicing and working on.

♥ I am needing to do my 10 hours of driving before drivers ed and then 30 more hours next term!

♥ I still have to do 35 service hours for National Honor Society.

♥ I have a high stack of books on my desk waiting to be read.
♥ Have fun? I'll try. (:
