Photoshoot! (:

Aly, Baylee's sister, is a phenomenal photographer and she did a photoshoot for me! I Have three of the pictures back and I just LOVE them!! (: Click on them to see them bigger and better!

Bay's ParTAY! (:

Baylee had her 15th birthday party yesterday! It was so much fun! We went to the Roy Aquatic Center and swam a lot and then went back to her house for a chick flick night! We had yummy iceberg food and heavenly cookie/brownie bars. Plus homemade popcorn! We watched Miss Congeniality 2 Armed and Fabulous. I totally love the Miss Congeniality movies!!!! (: They're awesome! Anyways, it was a lot of fun! (:

Girls Camp 2010

I am back from Girls Camp! I'd been dreading it for sooo long that it's nice to have it over with! Although I actually enjoyed myself this time! (: WAY better than last year. (: This year at Girls Camp I:
♥ Went on a 5 mile hike but my group got lost and had to go an extra 1/2 - 1 mile.
♥ Made insanely cute crafts! I.E. Lanterns, necklaces, bracelets, stepping stones with our footprints in them, and shrinky dink bracelets.
♥ Got a cute purple/green "Faith in Every Footstep" hoodie.
♥ Played Madi Brophy at speed and our tournament ended in my favor 10-8!
♥ Learned how to play B.S.
♥ Got my hair french braided cool by Heidi.
♥ Went on the zip line around 76 times.
♥ Slept in a cabin instead of in tents. (YES.)
♥ Shot two guns!
♥ Was harassed by the world for my love of animals. They told me so many stories about killing animals and dead things. Goodness sakes.
♥ Learned about stars and constellations.
♥ Got a crown from my secret sister!
♥ Went snipe hunting.
♥ Roasted starbursts and was Heidi's starburst roasting apprentice.

That's about it. Yay for my own bed again though! (:

Miss Utah!!!!!

(Picture stolen from Facebook)

I got to go watch Brinley compete at Miss Utah last night! It was so much fun and I was way excited! She had to compete against 54 girls!! That's more than there are at Miss America!! Anyways, the production number was awesome!! It was based off the theme "Mission: Possible" and it was so cool! Brinley did a great job! She had to teach it to herself from off of a video online. No way could I ever do it! Then they announced the top ten. Brinley didn't make it and I was disappointed but hey, there were FIFTY FOUR contestants! That means 44 didn't make top ten! The night went on and we saw the top ten do swimsuit, talent, evening gown, and on-stage question. Then all the contestants came out in their evening gowns to watch the winners be crowned! Brinley looked stunning in hers! I was light blue and very sequiny! Absolutely gorgeous! Neither of my two favorites from the top ten won or placed. It didn't make me very happy. But congratulations to Miss Utah 2010, Christina Lowe, after trying out three times.

Pageant Memories (And lots of pictures!)

First I just need to say how much I freaking love Brinley! She is so talented, beautiful, and inspiring!! She makes me want to be just like her! She is a phenomenal pianist and she's a remarkable person. I have had SO much fun being with her through this whole year and I'm going to miss her like crazy! I know she'll do amazing at Miss Utah next week!

Yep, Princess Prep academy was still so much fun!

Marla is so amazing. She has been a wonderful director to work with and I owe her so much. She puts in countless hours for our benefit and she is just fantastic. Not to mention, super trendy for a pregnanat lady! (:

Bay and I at the Outback Luncheon Fundraiser! (: That was great and super yummy!

Me and Lynds! She's so darling!! I love her to death! (:

Me and Mandi! Thanks for coming to support me! (:

Me and Brinley at rehearsal. We have a blast together! (:

Thanks goes to everyone who was involved with my life this year. It's the most memorable one yet. I loved every second of it and I wouldn't trade the experience for everything. I've made so many friends and had so much fun!

Miss Syracuse Pageant 2010!

After the Teen pageant I stayed to watch the Misses! I had been around them a lot and I was extremely anxious to see who would win! I couldn't have guessed it like I guessed the teens! It was so fun to see Bailey Johnson win queen after coming back from being 1st attendant last year! I thought she was beautiful! She held herself together beautifully! She is an especially great dancer too! Great poise and soo pretty. First attendant was Carly Hawker. She sang a French opera for her talent. It was phenomenal. Second attendant was Mckenzie Fisher. She was my personal favorite so I wish she'd done better but that's ok. There's always next year! She had the cutest dance routine! And she was so outgoing and kind to everyone! And Shannah Thorne recieved the Heart of Syracuse award. She was very deserving of it! (Ha ha funny thing is, she played Tarantella for her talent too! It was a condensed version since she only had ninety seconds and I had all the time in the world, but I thought it was funny! Julie gave us the same song... Ha ha she was a pageant girl, she should know better! I just hope that the judges didn't compare her version to mine since the judges were the same for both pageants! I hope it didn't influence them for good or bad!) It was so incredible to watch beautiful amazing Brinley emcee and do her talent! She is the best pianist in the world and I hope to be just like her some day! She played "Suggestion Diabolique" just like she did last year. If you want to hear it, it's on my playlist on the sidebar! She has inspired me to learn it too! I'm going to ask Julie about it at my next lesson! She just is soo amazing to me. Ryan was really funny!! One thing he said in both pageants is after Brinley and I walked our final walks he goes, "This weird thing just happened. You were walking, and I could hear everything you were thinking that whole time. Your lips weren't moving but I could hear everything you were thinking! I hope that doesn't happened to me!!" Ha ha ha!! It was spur of the moment hilarious! Then there was a huge spider on the podium and Brinley and him flicked it off once but it came back. Someone in the audience shouted, "KILL IT!" Ryan goes, "Kill it? Isn't that against somebody's platform or something?" HA HA HA HA! That was the best part! (: Anyways, that's about it! (:

Brinley and I after the Miss pageant. Isn't she beautiful!?

Miss Syracuse Outstanding Teen Pageant 2010!!!

Whoop whoop!! The big day finally came! I was exceptionally nervous but way way excited! And what a busy day it was! Here is the rundown of my schedule:
-Get up at 7
-Curl my hair beautifully and do my makeup
-Grab my dresses and head to a photoshoot (Which was sooooo much fun by the way! Thanks to the creative director and hair arranger Baylee!)
-Head home at about 11
-Take a shower
-Do my hair and makeup again (Just a high ponytail this time!)
-Get dressed at head for interviews at 12 (Basically all I had to do was take the contestant in to their interview and introduce them to the judges. ie: "This is contestant number 1, McCall Devries.)
-Go to Heidi's and have my hair and makeup done AGAIN! (Yep, three times...)
-Collect all my things and head to the PAGEANT!!! Whoop whoop!

Ok now this is the memory part where I describe everything, even though no one else really cares, for my own benefit! Ok so we had 5 beautiful talented contestants this year!
♥ Contestant Number 1: McCall Devries
♥ Contestant Number 2: Jamie Spackman
♥ Contestant Number 3: Misty Yamane
♥ Contestant Number 4: Cheyenne Gooch
♥ Contestant Number 5: Carissa Carbine

Before the pageant started I got into my big blue, rhinestony dress. I was worried about this one! I went barefoot though which was nice! I was worried because it was a little small so the zipper didn't like to stay up. I thought that it might fall all the way down! But it didn't!! Whoop whoop! After the production number, Ryan Snarr, the guest emcee, introduced me!!! I got to emcee the pageant almost the whole time! It was soo much fun! I had a lot to say and I was really nervous, but luckily my voice didn't shake or anything! I did mess up on a couple of words though and it was really embarrassing. The one word I hated in particular was "anesthetist." UGH! Brinley tried to help me learn how to say it but I just couldn't. It was horrible. Ha ha. Anyways, I left after I introduced Misty's talent to go change for mine! I LOVED my talent dress. It was shorter, black and sequiny on top, and white and fluffy like a tutu on bottom. It was sooo cute! I don't have any pictures of this one but I will get some from my photoshoot soon. I was SOOOOOOOOO nervous for my talent. After messing up at the rehearsal and the recital I just didn't think there was much hope! Especially since I was wearing 5 inch heels!! But I tried to think positive and I went out there and played Tarantella about the best I've ever done it! The piano was kind of muted but I didn't care! I was so relieved once it was over! A huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders! Then I emceed some more for evening wear and on-stage question. Then I left to change into another favorite dress of mine, a neon pink really seuqined poofy dress! I kind of felt like Barbie, and looked like her too! I did my final walk barefoot and everyone could tell. Apparently it was hilarious! Lisa Chandler, Jamie's hostess who helped me into the complicated lace-back dress, told me that she couldn't tell I wasn't wearing shoes but she was wrong! Ha ha, I kind of made a fool of myself but it was a whole lot easier to walk!! Then the Mayor gave me a plaque for all of my service. (I had to get an 5x6 picture for it and it was a total pain, but it turned out cute!) Mayor Nagle talked to everyone about everything I've done in the community this past year. Then it was time to introduce Lyndsey, Little Miss Syracuse, and start the crowning!!! We crowned McCall the Spirit of Syracuse (I voted for her so I'm glad she got it, she was sooo cute and outgoing!), Jamie the first attendant, and Cheyenne the queen. I'm not surprised how it turned out. I called it exactly like that! (: I could so totally be a judge. I had some trouble crowning them, the crowns are not by any means simple, but I think I did ok. Lyndsey was great and we had so much fun! I'm kind of sad to be done, I've just loved it sooo much, but "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" right? Well congratulations to our new royalty! This was a seriously fun pageant! It was definitely one to remember!

Picture Time!!

Rehearsals!

For the pageant we had two rehearsals. One Thursday, and then a dress rehearsal Friday. It was abolutely so much fun but definitely crazy! I had to emcee for my pageant and be both Ryan and me. Plus do my talent, final walk and crowning. THEN Brinley asked me to be Ryan for her so she could just be herself in the Miss pageant. Of course I did it, it was no big deal, but after 6 1/2 hours of standing straight up at a microphone and podium, my back was ready to FALL OFF! It was soo painful! What really made me nervous was the fact that both Brinley and I, during our talent, had to stop our songs because we forgot them. Seriously no lie, I stop and go, "What am I doing?! I can't remember this song!" Then Brinley stopped and said, "Oh my gosh. I seriously can't remember my song! This has never happened to me before!!" It was good that it wasn't just me, but then we were freaking out together. Luckily, we both did it again perfectly. Phew! Anyways, rehearsals are always fun! (:

Dress rehearsal! Me with all the contestants and some hostesses!

Brinley and I emceeing at a dress rehearsal for the Miss pageant (Loved her dress!)

ME! At rehearsal! (: Practicing our coronation and my farewell walk!

Recording Studio!! (:

Soooooo guess where I got to go?! (I know you can't tell from the title or anything.) A recording studio!! Brinley and I drove up to Bountiful to record our farewells for the pageant on Saturday! It was a really cool experince for me! I had to record one line like 6 times because I couldn't say the word "strive" at first. Then I couldn't make my voice sound the same way it did when I recorded the rest of my speech. It was way amazing to see the guy take my voice and edit out the imperfections, change the order I said things in, and put it on top of music. I was really in awe of the work people can do. But let me just say how much I HATE listening to my own voice! It doesn't sound the same to me and it is just gross! Ah! Ha ha, I'll get over it I guess. Well that's about it! 3 days til' pageant day!! Whoop whoop!

Goodbye Junior High!

Me and My Friends (:

Climbing the tree! ♥

Today was officially my last day of Junior High. It feels soo weird. I really don't feel like it's been a whole year or that I have already spent three in Junior High! It's really cool though don't get me wrong! I think I'll really miss some of my awesome teachers like Brother Call, Ms. Blair (Mrs. Wood :) and Mrs. Tensmeyer. True, they were total beasts during school but I think I'll actually miss them now that they have no control over me! We had a great last day of school! Our yearbooks turned out amazing and I've loved being on the yearbok staff! It was sooooo much fun and a really great experience! I completed my first year of high school with straight 4.0's!!!!!!! I am sooo proud of that and I hope to continue to do just as well! My favorite class this year was 3D art with Mr. Nielsen. We did some really cool stuff but my favorite project was linoleum block printing and I now have a binder with about 60 prints of flowers in it! It's soo cool! I also got an awesome triptich of prints done, you'll have to come see it because it's cool! After school I went with some of my friends to Arctic Circle for celebratory shakes, then we hung out at the park for awhile. When I came home, I spent four hours cleaning out my school binders and room!! But it needed to be done and now I am ready. BRING ON THE SuMmEr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and Bay playing concentration. We love it so much! (:

Brady and I!

Jon Schmidt Concert!!!

I wish I could play like that!

Bri invited me to go to a Jon Schmidt concert with her! I LOVE JON SCHMIDT so of course I went! It was soo cool! He is really seriously entertaining and EXTREMELY talented! He is my piano idol. He played my favorite songs, Waterfall, Love Story Meets Viva La Vida, and All of Me which can be found on my music player if you really care. Afterwards we got to meet him and shake his hand. I got his autograph and now it is hanging on my wall!!! Yay! I aspire to be just like him someday.

Cool picture huh? (:

Lagoon Day!

Lagoon Day was soo much fun! It was on Thursday for all the ninth graders! Pretty much amazing! I love all my friends but I freaking love Baylee Bolton. We had so much fun at Lagoon together. We decided that BriAnna assassinated John F. Kenedy, Abraham Lincoln, and Judeist Priests and that she plans to assassinate Oprah, Obama, and us! Plus, she hates puppies, was Hitler in a past life, led Al Queida and planned 9-11, wants to kill Sarah Palin, sent the mysterious white powder to the seminary building last year, eats road kill cats with honey, eats innocent potato bugs, robs little kids, and is training baby assassins at her academy. Totally hilarious at the time. I'll never forget it. It was a day to remember for SURE! (:
Plus we got Baylee to go on ROCKET! Ha ha.

Zions Bank Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!

On Wednesday I got to get checked out of school because the mayor asked me to join them at the Zions Bank Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! Brinley couldn't go so I kind of felt like a total idiot being the only one in a crown but it was cool. I enjoy all of my Miss Syracuse opportunities! We had lots of yummy food, I met and talked to and posed for pictures with many many many new faces (including city councilmen friends, bank workers, and just people from around the community!), and I got to help hold the ribbon while they cut it! It was way cool and the money that was on the ribbon got donated to a program called AYSO. It was awesome. Plus Zions donated $75,000 to our city! YEAH!
