Stuck at Surf N' Swim!

So Erin and I went to Surf N' Swim today. We were originally planning to be there for 3 1/2 or so hours. Well, my mom couldn't come pick us up at the planned time, so we ended up being stuck there for 4 hours and 45 minutes!!!!!!!!!! We spent the time balancing on our tubes, doing handstands. tucks, and front handsprings in the water, (well that was me since Erin isn't really flexible or acrobatic, although she could beat you in a race for sure!) and drowning from laughing so hard! Since we were there for dinnertime, we had to eat there. We had a hot dog, three chicken strips, 4 scones, and a carton of fries. We aren't that big of pigs, but swimming really makes a girl hungry. If you haven't had a Surf N' Swim scone with honey butter, you sooooo need to! They are totally amazingly yummy! Eventually though we did escape from all this torture, ha ha. It was a really fun day!

Christmas!

I had one of the best Christmas's of my life this year! I had a HORRIBLE night sleep. I went to lie down at 9:00 then I finally fell asleep at 12:00 then I woke up again at 3:00. It was pretty pathetic. I guess I was just too excited! When my parents finally allowed us to go downstairs at 7:00 AM we literally ran down the stairs. The first thing I noticed was a brand new metallic pink nintendo DS! I was so extremely happy! I got nintendogz, animal crossing: wild world, mario cart, and mario party DS. It is soooooo fun and awesome. Did you know you can connect and play games and chat with other people that have DS's??? I also got a Paris calendar, an eiffel tower poster, eiffel tower earrings and an eiffel tower necklace, new boots, a new scarf, a yo yo ball, jenga girl talk and lots of other stuff. Our family present this year was a Karoke Machine. It is really cool because it has a video camera attached to it that let's you see yourself performing on the TV. After opening our presents, we spent most of the rest of the day visiting with my dad's side of the family and playing with our presents. had a GREAT Christmas this year! So thanks to everyone who made it fun! I hope you all had a awesome Christmas too!

Christmas Eve!

I know it's a little late but I wanted to tell you how my Christmas Eve went. I went to my Grandma's house like always for our traditional program. We always do a little talent show with all of my cousins so my family and I played the bells and I played a beautiful version of Silent Night on the piano. I think I did ok. I was so extremely excited to get home though. After getting back to our house, we raced in and opened the one present we get as a tradition on Christmas Eve. Mine was a tee shirt that said dream in rhinestones on it, red and pink slippers, and wait for it.... BAMBI PAJAMA PANTS! Woo! They are brown and pink with polka dotted bambi's all over them! I love them! They are so cute! Thanks mom and dad!

FRENCH CAROLING!

Erin and I really went caroling in French. Woo! We went to eight houses and sang carols like:
Vive Le Vent - Live the Wind (To the tune of Jingle Bells)
Rudolphe Le Renne Au Nez Rouge -Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer(I think you know the tune!)
We French pastry cookies to hand out to everyone. They are like little pastry sandwichs with frosting in the middle. We dyed the frosting red, white, and blue to make the french flag out of them. Oh yeah. It was awesome! Then we put a little paragraph of information about how the French celebrate Christmas! It was way cool! It was a lot of fun. Oh and thanks go to Katie for standing with us on everyone's porches.

Strawberry Pouree Day

Today, Erin and I made strawberry puree. It is kind of like a strawberry sauce that can be put on desserts, pancakes, waffles, or just drinken like a smoothie. It is more of a liquid but it is still really good. We made it to get extra credit points in French class, but it was actually a lot of fun. Here is the recipe if you want to try it yourself:

Ingredients
2 lbs
unsweetened strawberries
1/2 cup granulated
white sugar, to taste
1-2 tablespoon
fresh lemon juice

Directions
1Process the strawberries in either a food processor or blender until they are pureed.
2Stir in the sugar until it dissolves.
3Add a little lemon juice at a time until desired taste acquired.
4May be refrigerated covered for 1 week to 10 days.
5It may also be frozen in ice cube trays then put into a plastic bag so they can be removed easily as needed.

Voice Male!

My family and I went to a VoiceMale concert. It was really cool and super funny. VoiceMale is 6 guys that sing accapella, but they use their voices to make it sound like they are singing with instruments! It was seriously awesome. Oh and in the middle of the concert they talked in like 64different languages. I think the languages were Chinese, Japanese, Whales (yes the animal like on finding nemo! lol), and Spainish. Yeah it was really cool. If you haven't seen them before you seriously should!

Isaac's Birthday Party!

Ok so yesterday was Isaac's 10th (yep double digits!) birthday party. He took 5 of his friends to Classic Fun Center. Of course, I went along and took my bestest friend Erin duh! We did the bounce zone thing first. We had so much fun! Erin and I made each other fly. (One of us laid on one side of a mushroom, then the other person jumped on the other side of it. This resulted in flying!) Our favorite though was trying to get on and balance on giant mushroom looking things. We laughed a lot. Next we ate minature brownies and popsicle things. Isaac opened his presents and Erin even brought him $10 for his birthday and she's not even his friend! She is just amazingly nice like that! Ha ha! Then we played lazer tag. It was Erin and I against all the boys! We lost miserably! They had 6760 points and we had 2790 points. Pretty pathetic, but we had tons of fun anyways, and hey we were outnumbered by 4 people! Unfair right! J/K! Next we got to play arcade games. I didn't do too well on those but I won 36 tickets on Deal Or No Deal. It was great! Erin and I bought these Crayola Crayons Erasers that look totally like a real crayon! After the party we were exhausted. (In French tout raplapla! cool huh?) But I had so much fun with Erin and Isaac. Happy 10th Birthday Isaac!

Christmas is Coming!

I am sooooo excited for Christmas to come! We recently put up our lights and our tree. They look really pretty at night. Plus we put two twinkly snowflakes in our windows! It's awesome! I just love the feeling of Christmas! I have done some Christmas shopping for some of my friends, but I have more to do! Have fun with your Christmas preporations!
