Meeting Jef and Emily

Are they not the cutest couple you've ever seen? ♥

I still can't believe I actually got to meet them!

A few days ago, Jef tweeted that he was going to be taking her to the Twilight series concert in SLC.

So of course, me and Kenzie went down there wanting to meet them!

I hate Salt Lake. I hate driving in it. I hate getting hit on by drunk men. I hate walking past hundreds of people begging for money.

But we put up with it and it was worth it!

We got to the concert at 5 and bought our tickets, then found out the concert didn't actually start until 7:30. We figured that they probably wouldn't show up until closer to that time, so we got comfortable and waited.

In the meantime, we bought People Water - which Jef is the CEO of(:

Well around 6:30 we decided it'd be a good idea to walk around and see if they'd come in another entrance. We noticed a VIP section and looked in there but didn't see them. I turned around, and then I saw them walking towards us to go into the VIP area. I started freaking out and when they got closer, we just watched them walk past in awe. Literally, they're just like us. Except definitely not.

So then we realize we're gonna miss our chance to talk to them, so we run to catch up and ask for a picture! They were so sweet, and so nice to us! Jef even said we were cool for buying People Water. I can't believe Jef Holm and Emily Maynard actually touched me. I actually talked to them. Oh. My. Gosh. It was really amazing. I kind of adore them.

So best day ever? Basically.

Ahhhh they're so cute!

Night Hike

Brayden and I went on a night hike date!(: It was a lot of fun!
We hiked Waterfall Canyon, and even though I really struggled.... It was worth it. (:

The Waterfall at the top was beautiful! It is so peaceful up in the mountains.

On the way back down, we ended up getting lost. We took the wrong fork in the trail and ended up on a totally different mountain. It was pretty crazy, but we eventually realized it and found our way back.

So we ended up not getting home until 1 AM.

But hey. It happens.

I Hope They Call Me on a Mission

That's been Jordan's attitude as long as he's been in this church! I love being able to have a missionary to write, and I love to hear about all of his incredible adventures! He's already been out for about 6 months! Time flies! He sent me a few pictures today, thought I'd share.

He seems to be having so much fun, and I'm sure he's changing a lot of lives!
I'm proud of him - Guatemala's lucky to have him!

Plus - asked him how to say this in Spanish and he told me(: Of course he did add the ending(: Haha.
"Ashlie is muy maravillosa, bonita, y es la mehor chica en el mundo, y tiene mucho amor por su amigo Jordan"

End of Summer.

How is summer almost over already?! Why is it that time passes by faster and faster every year?!
School is starting in, oh I don't know, 2 weeks.
2 weeks! Ah!

I got my schedule, and it's an absolute mess. So I'm missing our family trip to Lake Powell just to fix it. I'm crossing my fingers it works out.

But seriously, I'm going to miss the stress free fun.

Just a fantastic summer.

Here's hoping for a good final two weeks, and a senior year to remember!

Haunted?

Brady and I explored a haunted school the other night. So sketchy words can't even describe it.
Legend says a whole bunch of kids died there - whatever, just ridiculous.

But nonetheless, it was terrifying.

Great pictures right? Kind of fits the night.
I wish we'd gone when it wasn't pitch black so that I could have had some pictures of the freakish insides of this building.

All the windows were smashed in, creaky floors, sketchy looking stairs... the whole deal.

And what makes it even better?

A giant mural of a man holding a knife out to stab you as you walk through the doors.

I wish I could have any way to describe the horror.

I know it doesn't really seem that scary, but that place was definitely evil.
I had goosebumps for over an hour after I left.

I'd say "yolo," but I hate when people say that.

They Say Beauty is Pain...

But I'm gonna have to say beauty is money. I've been through quite the hair coloring experience this past week! My hair has been so many different colors it's ridiculous.

This all started because I decided that they healthiest thing to do for my poor damaged hair would be to dye it brown. The bleach all these 7 years has been killing my hair, so I figured if I dyed it back to it's close to natural color, I wouldn't have to hurt it anymore! The goal was to get it to be a really nice, light brown! Did it turn out that way? Not even close.

First try? Turned orange. Like, pumpkin orange.

Cute right? NOT.

So then we dyed it again, and this time it went dark. Like, way dark.

Then to a red brown.

Had to leave the salon after that so my hair was this color for a while.

Then a few days later we did a color delete, turning my hair a super pale yellow.

Then dyed it for the last time and it turned out still pretty blonde, but with more red in it.

And I don't necessarily like it, but I'm sick of messing for it. Cost way too much money. So I'll deal!(:

Bad picture, but you can kind tell.

So yeah. Life would be so much easier if my natural hair color didn't look like dirt.

Antelope Island.

Went to Antelope Island for a little photoshoot practice with my best friend Kena. (: We dealt with blistering heat and huge bugs, horseflies especially which I now have bites all over my body from. However, we had a fantastic time. Not only is she absolutely stunning, but has the cutest wardrobe ever. She made a photographer's job easy. Plus, would you just look at her eyes? They're so beautiful and I didn't even have to edit them, they're just that incredible.

Here are a few of the pictures...

The coolest part is, here step mom saw them and absolutely loved them, and now she wants me to take their family pictures! Crazy! I'm nervous, but hopefully it turns out! (:

And when two best friends take pictures, there's always some behind the scenes fun. (:

Way way fun day. I think I'd call this one a success. (:
