Girls Camp.

Yeah, so I am going to be honest here and admit that I dread girls camp every year. I'm not one to deal with bugs, heat, hiking, and not being able to sleep in my own bed. So, suffice to say, I'm glad it's over(:

But we definitely did have some good times, and some good memories were made!

It was hard for me to be without my old leaders, they have just always been a part of my girls camp! Things just weren't the same without Heidi and Lisa. I missed them most especially!

This year we stayed in a cabin in Heber, right next to Heber Valley! It was a nice place to stay, and only two nights - bonus.

Started out with the adventure of my YW President's awning blowing off her trailer. We pulled over on the freeway and chased it down. Good start, right?

Then an assembly line to get all of our things inside(:

Spent a lot of time braiding our hair, eating super good food (We always get the best!), playing card games during free time, and just looking ridiculously attractive of course.

We played Swedish Twister. The best.

We made some super cute crafts(:

Did some ridiculous skits

And went on a brutal five mile hike.

We have some good inside jokes now for sure.

On our hike, we were given an egg representing our virtue. We were supposed to hold onto it the entire time, and not let it drop. The leaders tried to take it from us, and we were tempted by knowing if we gave up our egg, we could ride in the truck, and not have to hike any more. I'm proud to say I'm one of the few that made it the whole way with my egg intact. (:

However, when one of my leaders was describing this experience to the Bishopric, she told him the egg represented our virginity. Not virtue.... Hahahahahahaha. She tried to justify it by saying it was basically the same thing and completely interchangeable.

This led to our theme becoming, "as we strive to live the young women values which are faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice and accountability, good works, integrity, and virginity."

Hahahaha, saying the Theme in Young Women's today was hysterical, we couldn't stop laughing. (:

Oh man.

As my mom put it:
Just a few of the many lessons learned from girls camp:
1. An unnatural love of frogs can be very expensive
2. Give Kristie Thorne Taylor an egg and it Will be destroyed
3. Some very tough girls are actually very emotional (cough, cough, Madison Brophy)
4. Certain words, though similar in meaning, should NOT be used in place of each other (Becky Morrill) :)
... 5. Do not get on Shaylie Paige Hoggan's bad side...she WILL hurt you :)
6. McKenzie Butler is terrified of growing up
7. Thre REAL reason Trevor fell in love with April Bennett Hales
8. What happens at girls camp, MUST stay at girls camp

We had a great time, and some great spiritual moments. I won't forget this year, and I'm glad to have gotten to know the girls and the leaders so much better. Yay girls camp(: Glad I went, glad it's done(:

Oh girl, it made me happy and sad to read about camp. Sad for selfish reasons, I miss you all terribly! But glad because you had a great time and some good laughs with some incredible leaders.
